EVADE ‘BullyProof’ Parent and Child Seminar Dates

After great success with the previous BullyProof seminars… we are holding another one!

Why?

Bullies have been around since the beginning of civilization, and they aren’t going away anytime soon. Most UK Schools have put in place anti bullying schemes to help stop bullying, however this doesn’t really provide a sound solution  for a child who is targeted by a persistent bully, and the string of highly publicized youth bullying incidents is evidence that the schools cannot be entrusted with your child’s safety.

What is the ‘BullyProof’ Seminar?

The seminar has been broken down into two parts to make it easier to digest the incredible information we will be giving to you, not only that we have set aside two whole weekends so that each part has two dates therefore nobody has to miss out on ‘BullyProofing’ their child!

Using extremely effective, non-violent,  martial arts self defence techniques, we have created super fun games in which the techniques are then applied so that children are learning to stop bullying (both physically and more importantly verbally), while doing what they do best..PLAYING! Not only that we have then cleverly linked these games together to simulate real bulling situations. Children will not stand up for themselves because of a profound fear for personal safety, and therefore their confidence levels will be too low to deal with the situation, teach the child how to defend themselves physically and the rest will follow!

Why do parents have to take part with their child?

At EVADE we believe that parents play a vital role in the development of a child’s confidence and self-esteem, and this is key to helping a child stand up for themselves and resolve a bullying situation! One of the most common reasons (apart from fear for personal safety) children do not stand up for themselves is the fear of getting in trouble with their parents. By coming to the seminar with the child you are showing them that the techniques they will be learning are perfectly acceptable if they need to defend themselves, and they will not get in trouble for using the techniques in the appropriate situations. Finally the techniques that we show you should be repeated regularly in order to achieve the best results; therefore parents must attend so that they have a good knowledge of the games in order to drill them over and over again.

The Dates:

Saturday 14th May 2011, 1.30pm till 3.00pm – Part 1 (FREE)

As you may have noticed Part 1 of the seminar is FREE to all members and non-members! Part 1 must be attended before part 2 in order to achieve the best out of the seminar. If you unable to attend both parts on the same weekend then you can attend them on different weekends, for example,  part 1 the first week and then part 2 the second week. On the completion of part 1 you can register for part 2 to ensure your child is completely BullyProofed, the cost for part 2 is £10 per family (1 adult and 1 child (+£5 for any additions)).

Don’t just take my word for it!

“My son Kai attended the BullyProof day at EVADE, and absolutely loved it. It has built his confidence so much that his teacher in school had noticed a difference in him when conflicts had happened in class. Kai is looking forward to the next BullyProof day learning more ways to keep himself safe!”
