Through our martial arts training, discipline and positive reinforcement your child will develop what we proudly call the 4 S's: Self-Defence, Self-Confidence, Self-Esteem and Self-Respect. Upon taking part in this training they will begin to become more confident and gain a sense of self-value of which is backed up and built by a skill in martial arts and the mental toughness derived from it.
The lessons are targeted at ages 7 to 14.

'In the past some of my family trained in Martial Arts, so I thought I'd join to see what it was like, but mainly because I had very little confidence.
Not long after I started Evade, I developed confidence and self discipline, purely down to my AMAZING TEACHERS at Evade.
I grew as a stronger person physically and mentally along with a passion.
I have developed a very strong bond with the members that helped me and down to them I've already been to Italy competing for the world title when I was just 12 years old. I've won a British gold and my sights are firmly set on achieving my Blackbelt and one day becoming an instructor.'

'Hi my name is Joseph. I started kickboxing when I was around 6. Kickboxing has changed my life forever, it has kept me fit and it has told me what is right and what is wrong in school and out of school.
I wanted to join kickboxing because I knew it would keep me fit and also when my mum took me to a seminar and that really inspired me. My old trainer came up to me and asked if I wanted to join. It took me a bit to really think about it but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to join. So about 2 weeks later I went back to the gym and I said I wanted to join. So I went to the first class and I was a bit scared and thought I would never get friends. But then the first class I was introduced by my instructor and every one came over to say Hi. At that moment I felt at home and I have never looked back.
After about two to three weeks later I found my Dad doing kickboxing. I found it so good that he had got into the sport. All the things it had done for him. He had stopped drinking, He was eating healthy. Every night he came home from work he had a banana shake and went training. Looking back at the photos my Dad looks slimmer now than he did.
Watching my brother progress is an amazing feeling for an older brother. My brother has been doing kickboxing for 3 years. He is a blue belt and becoming more talented by the second, and I think that maybe just maybe he will be better than I can ever be. But he can only become better than me if he pushes. But now is the time for Jacob and for me to step back just a little and help him reach his Blackbelt just like my dad did with me.
I have been to the world championships 3 times and came second every time I have been. I am Joseph Burns and that is my kickboxing life.'
